The Colleen O. Williams Theater

Open since June of 2007, the Winder Cultural Arts Center is located just blocks from the downtown business district, with ready access to major highways and interstates and ample parking for guests.

Located in what had been for many years an active clothing manufacturing plant, the Winder Cultural Arts Center houses classrooms, a spacious dining room with an attached caterer's kitchen, and - the centerpiece of its operations - The Colleen O. Williams Theater. Additionally, the Cultural Arts Center provides space for WCTV-24, the City of Winder's Community Access Television Station and Production Studio.

"The Colleen", named after Winder's first drama teacher, is the result of over two years of planning and renovation. Designed to provide a professional quality venue for all manner of performing arts, from drama to music and dance, the Colleen is a state-of-the-art black box theater, with seating for over 200 guests. It offers full theatrical lighting and sound, as well as video projection capability, has a large stage - with ample wing and back stage space. Additionally, there is easy access to dressing & bath rooms, a green room and a theater workshop area.

The home to the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre, the Colleen is a work in progress, enjoying the excitement of its youth, at the same time looking forward to the comfort and memories that comes with age and experience.
