"Dearly Beloved" Opens on May 3rd

Do you need a great gift for that mother who has everything? A perfect solution for that gift is to take her to lunch and attend a show at the theater. Winder-Barrow Community Theatre will be presenting “Dearly Beloved” starting on Friday May 3rd and ending on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinees are at 3:00 pm. Advance price tickets are now on sale at Winder City Hall (credit card, cash or check – 770-867-3106) or at Pam Veader’s State Farm Insurance office at 41 S. This hilarious Southern Comedy by Jones, Hope & Wooten will keep you laughing until your sides split over the antics of the Futrelle sisters during the wedding of one of their daughters. Don’t miss out on the fun while the sisters pull together and find ways to keep the wedding guests in the pews while a highway patrolman races off to track down the runaway bride and groom. Will there be a wedding or not?
Part of the proceeds from this show will be donated to The Tree House as a part of the WBCT Community Service Program. The Tree House works to provide help for child abuse victims in Barrow, Banks and Jackson Counties. Last year The Tree House provided over 6000 advocacy and crisis counseling services to approximately 392 victims of child sexual and physical abuse. Over 3000 parent education and support services were extended to over 829 children and families.
